Park Lane Healthcare Hosts Festive Christmas Choir Competition

Park Lane Healthcare embraced the spirit of the season this year with its very first Christmas Choir Competition, bringing together residents and staff from across all homes for a celebration filled with music, teamwork, and festive cheer.

The competition invited each home to create their own Christmas choir performance, with complete freedom to showcase their creativity. From traditional carols to modern festive favourites, every entry reflected the personalities and enthusiasm of the participants. Residents and staff worked side by side, rehearsing for weeks, designing costumes, and adding special touches to make their performance shine.

After much anticipation, the entries were sent to our panel of judges — the Park Lane directors — who took on the difficult task of choosing this year’s winners. Each performance was judged on creativity, effort, spirit, and overall festive magic.

And the Winner Is… Moorgate Lodge!

We are delighted to announce that Moorgate Lodge has been crowned the winner of the 2024 Park Lane Christmas Choir Competition. Their performance stood out for its joyful energy, teamwork, and heartfelt delivery, earning them the top spot in this year’s festive challenge.

A huge well done to all the homes who took part — every choir brought something unique and heartwarming to the competition. The level of effort, dedication, and Christmas spirit that went into each performance was truly inspiring.

A Special Mention

Although not taking first place, several homes created particularly memorable moments. One highlight was the incredible effort of residents who spent months learning to sign the classic carol Silent Night with support from Diane. Their dedication shows beautifully that you are never too old to learn a new skill or to take on a new challenge.
