Wellbeing Coordinator Named UK’s Best!
We are incredibly proud to share that our wellbeing coordinator, Jenny Forrest, has been named Best Activity Organiser at the prestigious Great British Care Awards national finals.
Jenny, who works at our Croston Park Care Home in Lancashire, received the award during the ceremony in Birmingham. The national finals bring together the very best in the care sector, recognising individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, innovation and compassion in their roles.
Jenny was recognised for her person-centred approach to wellbeing, creating meaningful activities that support residents’ independence, social connection and overall quality of life. She is passionate about tailoring experiences to individual interests, helping residents stay active, engaged and connected to their community.
Through her work, Jenny creates opportunities for residents to continue enjoying their hobbies, build friendships and maintain confidence—ensuring they can keep doing the things that matter most to them.
Speaking about her win, Jenny said:
“It was a real surprise to win at the national finals and I feel incredibly proud. Supporting residents to stay active and enjoy meaningful experiences is something I genuinely love doing. This award reflects the support of the whole team and the amazing people we work with every day.”
Chris Lane, Chairman of Park Lane Healthcare, said:
“We are all extremely proud of Jenny and this national recognition is thoroughly deserved. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents have fulfilling opportunities and experiences. Her passion and dedication make a real difference to people’s daily lives.”
This achievement highlights the importance of wellbeing in care and the positive impact that personalised, engaging activities can have on residents every day.
